2.soapbox- for all those unruly types on the server
3. general chat room- for just BS suggest this be the top to the forums
4. Polls section- For people can make polls for maps and stuff they want to see on the server and forums
5. Tweaks and tips section- for people can help with tweaks with the game to make it better
6. Help section- for help with computer issues that come up with RTCW
7. Map section- for suggestions on new maps and for map makers
8. fun corner- for jokes and fun stuff to be posted like screen shots and stuff
9. and last but not least a Admin section only for admins of the servers to talk about projects and other crap

just some suggestions

Let me know if you need some help with your forums I can try to help you out and if I dont know how I can read up on it real fast
and figure it out. Plus I an very good with graphics, like signatures and avatars.

Forum needs to get pimped a little more. A different template and customized a little more would be the start- this default vista skin or how is it called now days (aero, glow, modern..?) is really reused a lot.

More game wise based. Adding new fields in user profile for i.e. game nicknames and dump them into post instead of user name- it's more eye friendly and also another layer of security.

Although i'm not bashing it, it's good for a start but can be much more.

If you need help just let me know and i'll point you in right direction.

If forum shows promising i'll find you a theme and pimp it- i always liked to play with it and it's not so much time consuming..and if anyone wants to join with it feel free. :>


As for alias, if you're interested it's really very simple to create ability for that and it takes less then a minute.

Just go to ACP, click on "USERS AND GROUPS" click on "custom profile fields" on right you should see "create new field" button..before you press it you simply fill the details:

(text field) = rtcw alias
(dropdown box) = Single text field
And click "create new field"

Rest is pretty much self explaining. Leave "add profile field" just make sure that Publicly display profile field is checked.
Under "visibility options" field you mark all but "hide profile field" so alias is visible in posts, topics...and users are forced to fill it out at registration.
For "Language specific options" you just write a name for the field, it's description (i.e. your rtcw alias), and default value can be "Wolfplayer" (if user doesn't fill it).

And you're done. Users can now modify field under their control panel/account settings. Although it depends of the theme, sometimes fields is not visible in mini profile in post, but that can be fixed as long as it's there. It's easier to force it on registration then later on when forum gets populated.

You can also create any other fields you're interested in..gender, location or whatever you have desire for.

Setup a Facebook Page to "like" - our =TAO= Clan forums aren't visited by everyone anymore, however we are still connected somewhat by facebook.

Send the forum thru the twitter world. I have an account however I have 4 followers, so doubt that would do any good or I would tweet it.
